SOUTH AFRICA NATAL PROVINCE
1980 - 1994
Natal Province was one of the original nine provinces of the Union of South Africa from its' inception in 1910.
Due to the great number of predominantly Zulu population in the province, some 75% being Zulu speakers, the province name was changed in 1994 when the Union became a Republic to KwaZulu-Natal.
The "Button" above "Jimmy" in the above illustration is part of the provinces coat of arms depicting a pair of "Black Wilderbeesten" in full flight.
