1947-1954

 

On the 12th July 1947 His Majesty King George VI granted the New Zealand Corps of Signals the prefix “ROYAL” hence giving the Corps the name:- "ROYAL NEW ZEALAND CORPS OF SIGNALS"

At the same time the Corps cap badge was changed from the old design to the design of badge that is worn today except for the crown above the outstretched arm of Mercury which at the time was a Tudor Crown.
