ROYAL CORPS OF SIGNALS

  GLENGARRY BADGE

2006  - CURRENT

As permanent members of staff were posted away from 32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment (V) now 32 Signal Regiment (V), and the Corps of Pipes and Drums were moved to Blandford along side the Royal Corps of Signals Band. Both the wearing of the 2 inch Grant Tartan and the Saltier (St Andrews Cross) ceased.

Pipers of the Corps of Pipes and Drums still wear the Glengarry and a Buckled Garter badge with "Jimmy" as the centre piece but the badge is now set on a black silk background.

This embellishment is nicely shown below on the occasion of Signaller Motherwell a member of the Corps of Pipes and Drums piping home a contingent of 16 Signal Regiment returning to Germany in 2008 after a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
